All proceeds from the Gift of Sight Gala benefit the Illinois Eye-Bank, a division of
Midwest Eye-Banks, a charitable not-for-profit organization dedicated to the restoration of sight. Through its facilities in Chicago and Bloomington, the Illinois Eye-Bank recovers, evaluates and distributes eye tissue for transplantation, supports research into the causes and cures of blinding eye conditions, and offers educational programs to increase awareness of the continuing need for eye, organ and tissue donation. The Eye-Bank provides humanitarian aid to those unable to afford transplantation procedures, both at home and abroad.
